Province Knockout

An Ayr and Alloway rink comprising Alan Richmond (skip), Ed Baines, Ken Ireland and Douglas Haddow played against a strong Dalmellington rink in the Province KO competition, on 24 February 2022.

The game was an extremely close affair with singles being exchanged on the first 5 ends resulting in an advantage to Dalmellington of 3-2. A double was scored by Dalmellington at the 6th and A&A responded with a single at the 7th. Dalmellington therefor running out as 5-3 winners and progressing through to the next round.

President Alan added that Ed played a few of his missiles, to remove some opposition stones, and that with good sweeping, a few draws were played to keep the score close, all in all a very enjoyable game.
