Ayr and Alloway 2 had a thrilling match against the eventual winners, Sorn.

Skipped by Charlie Steele, with David Gray, Willie Scott and Ian Robertson the A&A rink lost one at the first end, but came back with a two. After losing a two and two singles, a three in the sixth end squared the game at 5 each. Sorn took a one at the next, so it came down to the last end. A&A were lying shot with Rab Clark's last stone to come. He played a perfect dead weight tap back to lie, making impossible for Charlie to move. A great match which spurred Sorn on to lift the trophy. Congratulations to Rab Clark, Murray Stevenson, Gail Thomson and Johnny Johnston.
