Alan takes over as President

At the AGM, held virtually on Zoom, on 24 March 2021, President Hazel Steele chaired the meeting with 30 members present. She noted it had been a strange and difficult year since the Coronovirus virus struck the country, and only one game had been played this season. Hazel continued, "The Club and the ice rink had made such great plans, couples playing together in the same rink, clear instructions to socially distance, only one sweeper, one way system at ice rink, tables kept two metres apart and so on... But rising numbers of Covid cases forced all these plans to "gang aft agley". We waited and hoped but, in our hearts, we knew, it wouldn't restart in the New Year."

Hazel conducted all the usual business at the AGM (apart from there being no prizewinners!) and said she was delighted to virtually hand over the President's Badge to Alan Richmond. Alan thanked Hazel for her contribution to the Club. This had been a particularly challenging year and members were grateful to Hazel for her role in ensuring we still have a healthy and active curling club
