AGM and Dinner Thurs 7 March 2024

The AGM was held at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club on 7 March 2024. It was preceded by an excellent meal in the lounge.

President Alan McKinlay chaired the meeting, making mention of the unusual circumstances we found ourselves in, following the closure of Ayr Ice Rink in September 2023.

However a limited programme of curling was established, playing at The Galleon, Kilmarnock and Stranraer. The quality of ice and lack of facilities at The Galleon, spoiled the experience somewhat, but the ice had improved over the season. A trial session had also been held at Greenacres.

A lenghty discussion ensued about next year's curling, and the committee will decide based on the recent survey and the discussion.

Alan handed over the badge of office to incomimg president, Jane Cherry, who was warmly received by the meeting. She in turn proposed Alan Chapman as her vice -president, which again found approval with the meeting.
