The main 2024/25 league was played at Greenacres. Unfortunately with the Greenacres plant failing in February, we missed a game, and the alternative date did not suit everyone.
So four rinks played three games and Ronnie played four. Alan won all his games.

On Wednesday 27 August 2025, a stroll through the Gorge Walk at Boswell's Estate was an excellent way to catch up with friends, followed by a fine lunch in the Coach House. Lots of talk about the curling season approaching, how the summer had been spent and who had picked up new injuries!
The AGM was held at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club on 6 March 2025. It was preceded by an excellent meal in the lounge.
A fabulous night was held at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club on 12 December 2024. An excellent turnout of 35 members and guests enjoyed a delicious two-course meal. Secretary Liz presented a quiz and member Willie Scott entertained the troops with a range of folk songs, also providng an interesting introduction to each song.
Ayr and Alloway is one the largest clubs that played at Ayr Ice Rink. With the closure of Ayr, we now play at Greenacres, with outings to Stranraer.
It is a particualrly friendly club, with over 40 members, and we are keen to invite anyone to join us. It maybe you would like to try curling for the first time, or you wish to have extra games. Just Send an email to the secretary for more information.
You will not find a friendlier club, but there is still a competitive element. Here are some of the competitions we used to play for when Ayr Ice Rink was open.
We have eight rinks in the league playing each other once per
season. The Knockout will be played as a league, with eight rinks. We enter 2 rinks in the Day League.
We play several inter-club "friendlies", and enter rinks in many of the open competitions including the Eglinton Jug and Rink Championship. We also play Points, Pairs and a Cue Competition.
We have a pre-season barbecue or picnic, group practice sessions, coaching and various social nights. The prizegiving and AGM are preceded by a meal held in the Abbotsford Hotel.
