On October 16th Ayr and Alloway played a club challenge match against Land O Burns with mixed fortunes.

The rink skipped by David Gray exchanged singles in the first few ends but a 5 for the opposition in the fourth end left Land O Burns in control for the rest of the game finally winning by a comfortable 10-3 margin. Congratulations to the opposition who all played very well whereas our own rink were well below par.

In the other match Ayr and Alloway had a successful game eventually running out 6-2 winners. Skipped by Neil Beattie our rink played well and although close after the first 3 ends they gained control and were comfortable winners. Some socialising with our opposition followed after the games and a good night concluded with Neil’s rink being last to leave the bar!
