Skip Neil reports

Ayr & Alloway Curling Club were represented this year by a rink of Neil Beattie (Skip), Ronnie Wilson, Geoff Barber and Jan Barber Playing against Troon Portland, they made a shaky start and after two ends found themselves 7 shots down. Four ends later they had ground their way back to 6-7, but at the 7th end Troon made 2 shots to leave Ayr & Alloway a bit of a mountain to climb. We managed to score a single at the 8th end, easily achieved within the allocated time, leaving us losers with a score of 7 shots to 9 for Troon and rueing the first two ends.
